Studio Policies
Lessons run as a track. You choose an 8-week or a 12-week track of personalized lessons, one hour a week at the same time each week. That time is held for you for the whole track.
Paying. You can pay per lesson each week, or pay for the whole track up front. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch this website.
Where we meet. Lessons are in person. You will get the studio address as soon as you book. If you would rather I come to you, choose the in-home option when booking.
Rescheduling. Let me know at least 24 hours ahead and we will find another time that week at no charge.
Missed lessons. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged in full. Life happens — talk to me.
Make-up lessons. Yes. If you miss a week, we will find a time to make it up.
Students. I teach middle-school age and up. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian completes the booking and the assessment.
Holidays. The studio observes major holidays. Those weeks are not billed and the track extends by that week.
What the website does, exactly
- Agreeing to these policies. When you book, you tick a box confirming you have read these policies, the terms and the privacy notice. That tick is the agreement — nothing is assumed from browsing the site.
- Cancelling a lesson. Sign in to your student page and cancel it there. The page will refuse inside the 24-hour window; in that case email Emily.
- Moving a lesson or arranging a make-up. Emily arranges these herself. The website cannot reschedule a lesson: cancel it on your student page, then email her.
- Reminders. The website sends a confirmation when you book and does not send lesson reminders afterwards. Put the time in your own calendar.
- Payments and receipts. Stripe takes the payment and sends the receipt. A card-management link appears on your student page only once you have paid through Stripe at least once.
- Refunds. Emily handles these herself, by email. The window and what is refundable are set out in the terms.
